AT&T Mobile Smartphone Users Get Capped

Just a friendly warning that if your smartphone (iPhone, BlackBerry, Droid, etc.) uses the AT&T network, you may be at risk of receiving the text message to the right if you are a heavy data user.

Given the ambiguity of Internet access on today’s smartphones, you could be at risk if you listen to Internet radio, download podcasts, watch streaming or downloaded videos, or any number of bandwidth-intensive uses.

As we are all creatures of habit and not likely to change our Internet-connected tendencies, you can either call AT&T and complain, or switch to a more data-friendly provider.  Cheers.
