Clean toilet seat, door closed, toilet paper, iPad, check!

Have you ever used your iPad, smartphone (iPhone, Blackberry, Droid), or laptop while taking care of your bathroom duties?

According to the business division at Staples, who conducted a survey of tablet users, 35% admitted to using their iPad or other tablet while in the bathroom, and 78% of tablet users admitted to using them while in bed.  And in an even more damaging blow to their social skills, 30% of tablet users said they used them in restaurants.

A more revealing survey by YouGov revealed that 21% of male iPad users and only 12% of female iPad users use them in the bathroom, and 87% of all iPad users use them every day of the week.

Don’t get me wrong – iPads have their place.  Just because you *can* take them everywhere doesn’t mean you *should*.  Beds are for sleeping, restaurants are for eating, and bathrooms are for, um, well they’re off-limits to iPads anyway.

Tell me what you think: should iPads be used everywhere or should their use be limited?
